Equinox Medical supports the Lismore flood relief effort

In March of 2022, the Australian eastern seaboard saw unprecedented levels of rain that lead to devastating floods across Queensland and Northern NSW. The floods destroyed workplaces and community infrastructure and resulted in thousands of residents losing their homes, property, and possessions.

In partnership with Lismore City Council and Resilient Lismore, Equinox Medical supported the emergency response and disaster recovery effort through the donation of personal protective equipment. The safety and protection of the Lismore community in this phase of the disaster response are paramount in preventing any compounded devastation to the community. 64 cartons of protective suits were donated to Lismore City Council and Resilient Lismore. The protective suits were crucial in ensuring the protection of the volunteers and emergency personnel involved in the clean-up effort against exposure to toxic contaminants such as asbestos. An additional 34 cartons of level 3 surgical gowns were donated to Lismore Hospitals via Resilient Lismore.
